Leo Chevalier: A Brief History of the Designer
In 1935 Leo Chevalier was born in Montreal, Quebec. He made his early living arranging window displays for various clothing stores. From there he developed a keen eye for the latest fashions.
He created his first collection in 1963 and would later create his own fashion house in 1967. He employed 10 people by the mid 80's to carry out his designs. From his high end work designing Air-Canada's in-flight uniforms to being the first designer to receive the order of Canada; Leo Chevalier was truly one of the most remarkable Canadians.
The video below is the property of CBC and covers a really nice insight on the success Leo Chevalier enjoyed.
To this day, we at Mansour's Menswear carry designs inspired by this remarkable Canadian and you can shop the collection here: https://mansours.com/collections/leo-chevalier.
