Mansour's is an independent retailer of men's clothing founded in 1924. We sell only quality goods and provide you with unparalleled service. We’ve been serving clients from Amherst, Moncton, Dieppe, Shediac, Charlottetown, Summerside and elsewhere for over 100 years.

How it Started

Our story began in 1924 when Mike Mansour, a Lebanese peddler, opened Mansour's Menswear at our current location in Amherst, Nova Scotia. Then in 1926, his nephew Theo, a 16 year old immigrant took over the store and built the foundation of what we are today. His cousin Norman, later joined the business and the duo worked side by side for 50 years.

Theo's son Robert now runs the business true to the principles of quality and service it has been built on. He is joined by his son Mikhial, and experienced employees who work hard to make your shopping experience like no other. Thank you for choosing Mansour's.

Mansour’s 100th Anniversary on September 27, 2024

We pulled out all the stops to honour a century of quality, dedication, and community. The day was filled with special events, heartfelt moments, and a genuine appreciation for the customers, friends, and families who have supported us through the years.

Centennial Celebration Event: We hosted an open house at the store, where long-time patrons, friends, and family members came together. The event included a presentation of historical memorabilia and a commemorative slideshow, a ceremonial cake cutting, horse-drawn carriage rides, and interviews with various media outlets.

Exclusive Merchandise: For the special occasion, we introduced a limited-edition line of centennial-themed merchandise, which included commemorative clothing and branded keepsakes.

Customer Appreciation: To show gratitude to those who have supported us, we held a raffle with prizes that included gift cards, classic Mansour’s items, and even a custom-tailored suit for one lucky winner. Each visitor received a small gift bag, and a memento from the 100th anniversary.

Community Recognition: Local leaders and community members joined us to recognize Mansour’s role in Amherst and beyond. We were honoured to receive a special plaque acknowledging our milestone and the legacy we continue to uphold in Atlantic Canada.

The 100th-anniversary celebration was not only a look back at our past but a moment to reaffirm our commitment to the values that have always set us apart: quality, service, and community. The day was truly unforgettable, celebrating the history and heart of Mansour’s with those who have made it all possible.

Tuxedo Rentals

We rent tuxedos for Weddings, Proms, and everything in between. It's best to come in early to get everything sorted out. Rentals are $259.99 and include a Jacket, Pants, Vest, Shirt, Tie, Pocket Squares and Shoes. A few exceptions apply. Our Tuxedos come from Collins Formal Wear.

Tailoring

We offer free tailoring with all our clothing, as nobody leaves Mansour's without a proper fit. If you're rushed we can even do the alterations while you wait. We also offer outside alterations for men's clothing. To learn more about our tailor and our prices, visit this page
