In the early 1970s, a new company was set up in Switzerland and production expanded internationally. Rieker employs around 20,000 people worldwide at five production sites, three design offices and 16 sales centers. Rieker's supply about 9,000 independent retailers, mainly in Europe, with shoes and accessories. Rieker’s antistress footwear is unique. In order to meet the requirements of its special designs and to be able to react quickly to modern trends, almost everything that Rieker sells is also produced by Rieker.
